How to register births?
- A birth should be registered with the Registrar of births of the respective division within the three months of period from the birth.

How to apply for "Widows and Orphans" Pension after the death of the Civil Pensioner?
- Obtaining the Death certificate of the Pensioner & Halt the pension payments..
- If there access in the pension account, Informing the bank & get it back..
- Then inform the concerned person to bring the following documents.
- Original Death Certificate of the Pensioner.
- Original Birth Certificate of the Widow
- Original of the Marriage Certificate
- Photo Copy of the Bank Pass Book of the Widow
- Photo Copy of the NIC of the Widow
- Photo Copy of the W&OP Card or the Number
- Passport Sized Color photo Certified by Grama Niladhari.
- Above Certificates & Photo Copies should be attested by Grama Niladhari.
What are the Reasons for Halting the Pension Payments?
- Incase of not providing the life certificate for the relevant year.
- Payments will be resumed once the life certificate is submitted with the attestation of Grama Niladhari.
